Welcome to our website

Our syllabus page will keep you informed of meetings and when possible let visitors know of degrees, visitations, exemplifications, etc.  Our Lodge History provides some insight into how Lodge Corkerhill came to be where it is today. If you would like to sign our Guest Book then please do so. We will have a proper contact page once emails have been set up, but for the time being this just includes our address and telephone details.

Lodge news

Charity Night

A special Charity Evening in aid of Erskine Hospital was held on Saturday 29th October, organised by Brother David Collie. A full report on this evening will follow.

Lodge Bible

At our meeting on Friday 4th March, which was our Annual Visitation from the Provincial Grand Lodge, we were delighted to include the Dedication of our new Lodge Bible. The Bible was presented to the Lodge by the families of the late Brothers William and Campbell Brown. Willie and Campbell were popular characters of Lodge Corkerhill. After Campbell passed to the Lodge Above, Brother Willie, who was Lodge Chaplain, had promised to present the Lodge with a new Lodge Bible in remembrance of his older brother Campbell. Unfortunately Willie took ill and passed away in January 2009 before he had the chance to purchase the new bible. The new bible was presented to the Lodge in memory of Willie and Campbell by the family. It was hoped that it could have been dedicated in January on the meeting nearest what would have been Brother Willie's 79th birthday. This wasn't possible and it was arranged to take place after the Annual Provincial Visitation. Following a moving tribute to both men by Past Master Brother David Brown, the Dedication of the Bible was conducted by Brother William Shirlaw. Brother Bill is a Past Master and Chaplain of Lodge St Christopher No. 1456 and is Provincial Grand Chaplain of Renfrewshire East. He is also Pastor of Cathcart Congregational Church in Glasgow.

Charity Cheque Presentations at the 1426 Social Club

The RWM was delighted to hand over cheques in the names of the Lodge and the Social Club on Saturday 15th January. He presented cheques to Erskine Hospital, the Association for Children with Heart Disorders and Multiple Sclerosis Scotland. In total £2000 was presented by the RWM. He said that this would not be possible if it weren't for the Brethren of the Lodge and the Members and visitors to the Social Club on matchdays. He thanked everyone for their generosity and said it was a great privilege to present the cheques on behalf of everyone involved.
